Last night, I made some designs for e-magazine of Ayo Belajar Linux (means Let’s Learn Linux, it’s in Bahasa Indonesia), the official Facebook group of Linux.or.id. I’m a new member there. I joined less than a year ago, and quickly, I became one of the most active members of the group.
Fast forward. few days ago, one of the senior member of the group (although we don’t really use the term senior-junior in the group) posted a question. He asked ‘what about we make a magazine?’. Soon, supports flooded and a sub group of Ayo Belajar Linux (shortened as ABL) created and named Majalah ABL or ABL Magazine.
I took part of the group as one of the editors (not sure of the number of the editor). There are currently three main divisions. Editor Division, Lay Out and Design Division, and Contributor Division. My division’s job description includes editing the language used, the usage of capital letters, the usage of punctuations, choosing articles which will suit our monthly theme, and so on.
I also started the fire of designing the logo for the magazine and followed by designs of the cover lay out.
So far, there has not been any design that is strong enough as candidate of the logo of the magazine. But there is still plenty of time. We still have the chance to submit ideas.
